Steve Grilli is a retired Supervisory Special Agent with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), having served as a federal agent for 23 years in South Florida and Washington, D.C. Prior to joining DEA, Steve’s diversified law enforcement career included service as a police officer in both New York and south Florida. Steve received a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1971 and his Master of Arts degree from SUNY Albany in 1976. Steve went on to post graduate work in Public Administration after receiving his Master of Arts degree from Albany State.

While serving as a DEA Special Agent in the Miami Field Division, Steve worked on renowned federal investigations and has received numerous awards and commendations for his contributions as a criminal investigator. Particularly noteworthy was his work as the case agent in the General Manual Noriega and Medellin Cocaine Cartel investigations among others.

Promoted to Group Supervisor in 1995, Steve was later assigned to the Redrum Homicide Group in Miami, Undercover Money Laundering Group 43, and was the Chief of technical Operations prior to being transferred to DEA Headquarters, Office of Investigative Technology in September 2002. Retiring from federal service in 2005 as DEA’s Audio Video Surveillance Chief, Steve’s purview included providing technical support for DEA enforcement operations worldwide.

Steve Grill has been an integral part of the IST Executive Team since January 2006. Steve’s primary responsibility has been to oversee and manage nationwide service operations from the IST Service Center in Lorton, Virginia (Washington, DC).
