Career Criminal Investigations - This course was designed for experienced or newly appointed investigators or analysts who are responsible for developing or enhancing an enforcement program targeting the HIGH RATE OFFENDER (Career Criminal). This course focuses on philosophy: Choosing and implementing change strategies and strategic planning. Emphasis is placed on a partnership of investigator and prosecutor, signal identification, sources of information, investigative techniques and use of surveillance equipment.
Pro Active Criminal Investigations - This training course is designed as an introduction for new and future Criminal Investigators tasked with performing Narcotics, Vice, Gambling, or Terrorist investigations; along with Intelligence investigative operations. It provides insight as to the history, development, and application of organized criminal activities, and groups. Specific techniques of recognition, classification, and effective investigation will be examined.
Undercover Operations for the Female Officer - This comprehensive program is designed to give the female officer a good working knowledge of undercover operations with a distinct emphasis on the female perspective. Emphasis is put on officer safety and working within established legal and ethical parameters.
Advanced Undercover Operations - This program is will also concentrate on the importance of surveillance as it pertains to officer safety, identification, and intelligence gathering. In addition to the classroom discussion, and the main scenario, actual role-plays will be done. In these role-plays the scenarios will be as close to real as possible in regards to what the undercover officer will encounter if the scenario were an actual training.
Terrorism/Security/Intelligence
Extremist - Terrorism - During this course, participants have the opportunity to learn more about the threat of terrorism on U.S. soil and specifically the threat to law enforcement and other government assets. Groups operating in the U.S. will be discussed in detail along, with their support structures and their domestic and international links. Methods and techniques used to collect intelligence, select targets and planning to execute a terrorist incident will be illustrated using recent cases studies.
Force Protection Advisor’s - This course is designed for experienced or newly appointed personnel that are responsible for Force Protection. Students will gain the skills and knowledge necessary to successfully conduct Risk analysis, Threat and Vulnerability assessments, Force Protection planning for buildings, installations and personnel and Weapons of Mass Destruction and Bomb Threat contingency planning.
Surveillance Detection & Elicitations - The course is designed to give a basic understanding of how surveillance is conducted so the individual will understand what is required to perform surveillance detection operations for personnel or facilities. We also cover elicitation which is a term applied to subtle extraction of information during an apparently normal and innocent conversation, personnel can be trained to take advantage of professional or social opportunities to interact with persons who live, work or travel in certain areas where you might need to know of unusual activities that are associated with terrorist surveillance operations.
Operations Security for Law Enforcement - This course, with its origin in the military, emphasizes the protection of law enforcement operations and information. This informative program provides the fundamentals for effective operational security. The complexity of police operations today mandates an effective OPSEC program.
Executive Protection - The course addresses the fundamentals of executive protection and how to maximize the use of technology for mission success. Students learn how to apply threat and vulnerability analysis to a particular mission and to develop an accurate assessment to ensure operational success.
Crisis Negotiations - During this course, participants have the opportunity to learn more about contemporary crisis negotiation issues. The course content includes a historic overview of crisis negotiations, the types of incidents and barricaded subjects and how to differentiate between a hostage and crisis situation.
Security for Court Houses - This course is designed to teach the student topics related to the safety and security of courthouse personnel, witnesses and spectators. Topics of concentration will center on Court Room Security as it pertains to the identification and dealing with potential threats that may surface.
TSCM - This course is designed for experienced or newly appointed personnel that are responsible for the security areas for counter intelligence. Students will gain the skills and knowledge necessary to successfully conduct technical surveillance against intrusion by eavesdropping devices.
Electronic Techniques in Swat Operations – (Intelligence Collection Techniques) Officers in this course will learn how to use technical surveillance equipment to penetrate hardened areas and circumvent defensive measures established by a hostile group or person. Emphasis is placed on the techniques and methodology of equipment selection, situation assessment, and technique application in the effort to gathering REAL-TIME intelligence information.
Computer Crime
Cyber Terrorism - Computer Security - The objective of this workshop is to provide law enforcement personnel with information on how terrorists and other extremists use the Internet. The focus is on international and domestic terrorist groups, and on single issue extremists such as the Earth Liberation Movement. This is a “hands-on” workshop. Terrorist Internet techniques are discussed and then participants practice the techniques online. Participants also learn methods for tracing and monitoring Internet communications. Since terrorists often store information on encrypted CD-ROMs and DVDs, methods of encryption and computer forensics is also discussed.
Investigation of Computer Vulnerabilities - Information is the biggest asset that any organization has. Today most information is stored electronically and protected to a certain degree. All computer systems have vulnerabilities and associated risks. This course teaches the student how to exploit vulnerability and to use them to his/her advantage. Through the use of computer technology terrorist treat exposure is far greater than one can expect.
