Louie Tabeek was a sworn member of the New York City Police Department where he retired as a Detective First Grade after 21 years of loyal service. His last assignment was with the Organized Crime Control Bureau’s; Investigative Support Division’s; Technical Services Section; now called TARU. He has honorably served three Mayor’s and five Police Commissions as an expert in the high technology needs of New York City’s Law Enforcement and to the Federal government.
Under the auspices of the NYPD he received comprehensive training at the National Intelligence Academy where he completed virtually every course including supervisory training. He has also served as an instructor at the NIA. 

Louie is a graduate of the Certified Protection Professional program – sponsored by the American Society of Industrial Security (ASIS).
Louie’s program accomplishments include: The NYC city-wide camera and microwave project; the Glock 9mm handguns for the NYPD; the surveillance van acquisition and training program which resulted in NYC’s purchase of 35 state of the art surveillance vans, two video trucks, a fleet of covert utility and undercover cars, the citywide cellular and pager tracking, the citywide GPS tracking, and the four NYC helicopters as well as the auto tracking program.

A long time member of the Mid Atlantic Chapter of the National Technical Investigator’s Association (NATIA) Louie served on NATIA’s High Technology Panel and has remained the prime interface between his former employer and NATIA for the last 13 years; providing microwave training and consulting to the technical law enforcement community
Louie also served in the Army National Guard as what has been referred to as “a full time-part timer”. Louie has over a dozen qualified military occupational skills (MOSQ) in fields including Intelligence, Military Police, Communications, Operations, Medical and Administration. He excelled through all the Army resident leadership and development courses, and was then selected to attend the elite active-duty Sergeants Major Academy at Ft Bliss, TX. He has served as the Intelligence Sergeant, Operations Sergeant Major and Command Sergeant Major in various duty stations nationwide, with four overseas deployments to Germany and two to Belgium. When activated during Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm he was the senior NCO in charge of all medical assets in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. For his exemplary performance, he was awarded two Meritorious Service Metals, the Bronze Star and eight other federal and state awards bringing to a total of 26 awards earned during his impressive career. Louie subsequently retired as an E-9 with an Honorable Discharge after more than 27 years of creditable service, despite declining the position as New York State’s Command Sergeant Major.
He has held an active Top Secret Clearance for well over 20 years, in addition to crypto, NATO and special access levels he held while performing operations and communications duties overseas.

Louie has spent the last 13 years at NS Microwave where he held the positions of East Coast Sales Representative, Northeast and Government Sales Representative, National Sales Manager and Director of Sales. At NS he was widely acknowledged as critical to the success of the citywide systems of New York, Baltimore and Sacramento; the DHS FEMA facility in Virginia; the Army Iraq PSDS2; and the development of an IP  line of robust products packaged to meet extreme city-specific environment and uncertain RF multipath/interference conditions; deployed both fixed and mobile.
Louie is now a proud team member of International Surveillance Technology, Inc serving as the Vice President of Business Development. In this role he will work to thoroughly understand the needs of IST’s customers and developing the best solutions for their needs.
